Procedure
The
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala is the authority
for admiting students for B.Tech. programs. Seat allocation is based on
the merit secured by the candidates in the common entrance examination
conducted by the Govt. of Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria
As stipulated by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Govt.
of Kerala, from time to time.
Admission
through Lateral Entry Scheme.
Those diploma holders who secured a minimum of 60% marks can seek
admission to the second year (3rd semester) directly.

Director of Technical Education(DTE), Govt. of Kerala is the authority
for admiting students for B.Tech. programs under Lateral Entry Scheme.
Seat allocation is based on the merit secured by the candidates in the
Lateral Entry Test(LET) conducted by the Govt. of Kerala.

Conditions
for Admission
Candidates for admission to the B.Tech degree courses are required to
possess the following qualifications.
- The
candidate shall have passed the pre-degree examination of any University
in Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any
other examination accepted as equivalent there to by the Cochin University
of Science and Technology.
- The
candidates shall have secured a minimum 50% marks in mathematics as
well as for Mathematics, Physics and chemistry put together.
- In
the case of candidates belong to socially and educationally backward
classes(referred to in G.O.(P)208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, as amended
from time to time) the minimum marks requirements are 45%for mathematics,
Physics and Chemistry put together.
- In
the case of SC/ST students only a pass is required in the subjects.
- The
candidates shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness
as may be prescribed by the University.
- Admission
to the course shall be through an entrance examination conducted by
the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Government of Kerala.
- No
admission shall be made after 40 working days from the date of commencement
of the combined first and second semester as per the academic calendar
approved by the University. The percentage of attendance for the 1st
year shall be reckoned from the date on which he/she/ joins the course

Rules
for Readmission
- Students
who are unable to attend classes on medical or other genuine grounds
may be readmitted to the respective semesters along with the subsequent
batch.
- A
student seeking readmission shall give a written application to the
PRINCIPAL with the recommendations of the head of the department, sixty
days prior to the commencement of the semester to which readmission
is sought.
- Students
who have been removed from the nominal roles due to fault in payment
of the semester fees shall be readmitted subject to the following conditions.
a) The Principal can readmit the student within 10 days from the last
date of payment of the semester fees.
b) Thereafter the University may accord sanction for readmission.
c) Readmission can be given only if the student can secure a minimum
75% attendance in aggregate meeting the eligibility to register for
the University Examination of the respective semester.
